Summer Learning Journey activity 1, week 1

Hi bloggers today I'll will be taling you about summer learning journey activity, week 1.We had to find out some foods that we could bring on a boat to go from Aotearoa to Hawaiki. We had to find out what foods we should bring that we could use that would last and wouldn't expire that would be good and healthy.

If I was on a boat and I had to go to another country I would bring as food baked beans and spaghetti in a can because they don't expire fast.

I would bring some boxed milk because they last a long time because they don't expire until you open the box that's when they expiry date starts.

I would also bring some peanuts because they are good and they last a while it is just that expiry date is a little bit bad.

I will also bring some serial because serial takes a while to expire and they taste good and also because I'm bringing some milk it would be good for beck-rest.

I would also bring some honey because it doesn't expire it also it is good to become high because it has a whole lot of sugar in it.

I would also bring some Frozen grapes and remember to refreeze them because they are also good for a boat trip.

I would also bring some pasta salad you can add heaps of vegetables and things on it and other flavours and it is still good for a boat ride.

I would also bring some hot dogs because it is much easier to make them on a boat then on a grill and don't bring a giant bottle of ketchup just save the small ones up from little restaurants like Burger King.

And I would also bring some walking tacos because they are good for messy kids like me and they are tasty and they don't make you feel sick.

I will also bring some homemade muffins especially if it was in the morning because if you were to have homemade muffin it'd be good to wake you up.

  1. Talofa Lava Apollo,

My name is Kueni, I am a blog commenter apart of the Ako Hiko cluster for the Summer Learning Journey. I am so excited to be apart of the programme, and am looking forward to reading all your awesome blog posts this summer along with the other students in the Ako Hiko cluster schools.

Thank you for completing the first activity of week one of the Summer Learning programme. I really enjoyed reading your blog post about the 10 foods you would take with you on your boat trip from Aotearoa to Hawaiki. I love that you have included detail in explaining why you would take each of your selected items with you on your voyage. I personally like that you have chosen to pack a bunch of food that you know will not expire or go off very fast!

I really like that you are a fan of homemade muffins, they are the best! What is your favourite muffin flavour? I like banana muffins myself.

If I were going on a 3 week ocean voyage I would take:
Strawberries, corn chips, bananas, apples, canned chicken, crackers, water, dried fruit, peanuts and a packet of lollies.

I look forward to reading many more of your blog posts this summer.

    Blog ya later, Tofa
    Kueni
